Novak/Orion/Reedy motors with a MM?

I have a few novak motors, and just bought a reedy motor. Has anyone run these motors with a MM with any success? I will most likely put the reedy motor (6500kv) in my dark impact (10th 4wd buggy) on 2s lipo. I have a few spare MMs laying around, and plan to replace some of my others with MMMs.

I do remember that people had issues with these motors before the firmware update. Wondering if the new firmware cured the problems?
