Anyone have a cheep Lipo balancer charger? - 06.04.2008, 11:51 PM

There are several sellers with chargers similar to this one. Some with fans and USB ports.

Anyone? Lipo's aren't cheep, I hate to trust a cheep charger.

only 50W, so if you want to charge @ 6S, expect 2A or less charge rates. but for 2s, it should be OK. but imo stay away.

the best one (most accurate) ive seen is the one from i chargery (hobby city has them for under $100 for a 180W charger...)

i was going to buy one, but they were out of stock so i brought a hyperion one, literally 2 hrs later the came in stock... i wasnt very happy! o well.

For 50 bucks it looks like a good deal. Even if it is a bit slow on charging it will do the job. I have 7 chargers, 2 Ice, 2 Mrc989, and 3 of the hyperion 5i.

I bought all of the hyperion chargers used, and love them, they get more use that the mrc or ice chargers. They will only do 5s lipo, and cannot do 1c charge on anything over 3s 5000mah, but they are super easy to use and I do not feel bad leaving them on all of the time!

i have had my MRC for a while and like it very much. Fast reliable and can charge anything. drawback is you need a balancer separate where a hyperion it is all one.

I would not go the cheap route on a charger. Get something good right away and you will not have to worry about out growing it.
