It definitely needs the R rating. It gets pretty brutal through out. The movie has 3 different directors/writers who direct three different parts of the film: Transmissions 1, 2, and 3. Basically it's about a signal hidden in communication devices that messes with your brain waves and causes you to kill and think you have to do it. It's actually a pretty good story all in all. The middle part of the movie (transmission 2) kind of has a old school Quentin Tarantino feel to it and is my favorite part. I also really like the ending scenes.
By the way, it was all filmed in Atlanta for any of you Georgians. The DVD is available at bestbuy and on netflix as well as others.

That's my boy. He is almost 2 now and that pic was 8 months or so ago. I loved it the first time I saw it. Chomping a banana with a mean look on his face and his motorhead shirt on. What more can you ask for?
