Pics of my broken maxx - 09.25.2005, 04:15 AM

Finally got my e-maxx all put back together. I installed new titanium arms, FLM combo bulks, Integy steering blocks and some revo rims. I also took Mikes advice and took out my spool. Wow what a difference taking that spool out made. With it in, I could only give it about 3/4 trigger then it would want to spin out. Now it tracks straight as an arrow. That is until you don't pay attention for a split second and clip the curb at about 45mph. OUCH!!
After about 6 or 7 cartwheels, then sliding to a rest on it's back, it was time to asess the dammage.
I actually broke one of my lower titanium arms, wheelie bar snapped, bent 2 hinge pins and bent 1 shock. Not as bad as I thought, but still depressing none the less.
Here are some pics.

Oh, so sad to hear. Was it the first run?

The broken Ti arm is a dissapointment.

Hope you can get it up and going again. Keep going.

Yep, first run 5th pass.
Man have I got to get a video of this thing. I am pretty confident it will do 50+. Now that it goes straight, it is....er.....was so much more fun to drive! The torque from the duall 9Ls is amazing.
Now hopefully FlexTek will warranty the TI. arm. If not, I think it's only like $40 or so for a replacement.

Thats weird, they were there for me but then I hit my refresh button and they disappeared.
Then as soon as I went out of the forum and then back into it, they were back again. :P:

Pics don't work for me as well..

I didn't expect those titanium arms to snap.

though the mass of your maxx is huge, i personally expected it to last a little longer..

Rather then aluminium, titanium snap's in an hard impact.

Still pretty impresive to do so.

@sneeck;

Titanium is known for it's flex.. Aluminum is known to bent.

It's the grade of titanium that leads to breaking.
