MM ESC will not go into reverse and I have no brakes

Any ideas how to fix this? I was running ch. 3 w/mech. brakes, disconnected servo from rx, and wanted to try esc brakes, nothing, not so much as any drag brakes.

Stupid questions, but:

1) Are you running a 2 speed tranny? They typically use a OWB on first gear rendering motor brake and reverse impossible.

2) Did you hook your MM to the Castle Link and make sure brake and reverse were enabled?

No on the two speed , in a 1/8 buggy and I programmed it w/the castle link. The esc seems to be getting the info, but nothing is happening...should there be a red light on when reverse is engaged? On my mamba 25 the red led indicates rev...

Might have to recalibrate the ESC to the radio. Maybe the ESC doesn't "know" where reverse is...

I tried to re cal. While the red led is flashing and I hold trigger in rev. direction, the yellow light will not flash (after a few seconds.) nor do i get the tones. I tried several times with no luck. the red led just keeps flashing.

Well, finally got it to work, but, when in reverse, it glitches and is not smooth. At least for now, I have brakes. I suspect that something in my programing of my radio is preventing the smooth reverse.

Check to make sure that your endpoints are set to 100% for both forward and reverse when you calibrate the MM - even if you drop it down later that's the only way it will calibrate properly.
