Question Motor rpm per volt - 10.07.2005, 08:56 PM

I have run the brushless. I still have a couple brushed motors as well. Does anyone know what the kv rating is on a stock titan? Just want some comparsion.

Peace!

Darn good question, actually.
I did a quick search and couldn't find the RPM of the Titans, but if we could find that I'd say just divide it by 14.4.

Mabuchi, the manufacturer of the Titan, does not give their motors a kv rating. Here is the datasheet for the Titan (or a very similar motor):

In the link that MetalMan posted Mabuchi states that the maximum RPM at 14.4 volts is 19800.
19800 / 14.4 = 1375 RPM per volt.

The motor specs in that link look darn close to the Titans, so I'd take that info as a good example.

Yeah! I just wanted to compare the brushed to brushless rpm. I may try a lower kv motor for longer run time. I know the speed won't be the same as if I put a higher kv.
