Thumbs down Receiver problem? - 10.08.2005, 10:33 AM

Hi guys, sorry im not soo active these days, lots of stuff going on, but i have a problem with my receiver, i only get about 10-15 ft. distance, i think the problem may be caused by the crystal? Or could it be the controller, i just replaced the batts so it should be fine.

Funny... I got the same problem with my stock Mini Quake RC. After about 50 ft the car goes crazy.

I also have a similar problem with Cold Fusion...after a distance, the reception just goes. I've changed receivers, transmitters, crystal sets, tired adjusting the aerial length and position...you name it. The ony thing I can think that *might* cause it would be that the 5V BEC my ESC puts out isn't enough...but I doubt it, the receiver (Hitec 2RNB) is designed for 4.8-6V. I'm stumped.

problem fixed:) it was the wire, it was cut in 3 different places but now its fixed. I also used a longer and thicker wire, its much better now.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

The antenna wire. I could see where that would cause problems. Glad you got it fixed.
