52mph Medusa 2000 Erevo 4s video - 07.15.2008, 05:19 PM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji69qIoh37Y Thought I'd post this since I felt it was very impressive. All stock except electronics.I was running SPC 8000mah lipos geared 24/54 .I had to see what the motor and cells could pull.It still had alot of torque and didn't heat up to much.I kept it short though in 5 minutes of running hard the motor was 117 and the batteries were 85 thats with it about 75 out. Would someone else like to try to figure this out with the speed calculator?Because either this motor is off in the rating,The battery is holding 16+ volts under load,or I'm an idiot and doing something wrong with the calculator.

try running it for a full pack instead of just 5 mins and instead of the street try taking it to a footaball/baseball field in short grass and report back.....

I just geared like that to see how fast it would go with my highest gearing.Normally I run 24/68 and pull 46 mph,but can run that gearing as much as I want.I have a weak esc ,Quark 80b,that tends to start thermaling after awhile of running hard.I have added caps and done some heat modding, but it's just not quite enough. So I really can't push the motor to it's limits with that esc.

Yeah since the ballooning amount is radius,I normally just add a 1/2 inch.

Funny you should mention pr....I called Jeff at medusa today to ask when the 70 and 80mm would be ready and he told me sometime in September....I told him that I would keep my 36-60-2000 then and just move it to another truck when the 70 is available.....he then asked would I give him some feedback on how the 36-60 performs and i told him there's a guy in the forums named asheck and his erevo with the 36-60 does a standing still back flip on to its wheels....he was so excited and amazed that he wanted to see this feat of torque envy...I'm going to link the video to him
