which batteries fit in erevo?

hey i will be buying the erevo along with a full BL setup/batteries in the next month so i need to find out which batteries will fit in the tray.

im planning on running the monster and a 1515 1.5d in this with 4s. it should be pretty quick and be quite efficient.

but to my main question... which batteries will fit?

im thinking of gettin some evo 25 or 30s.

idk how big the difference between the 2 are but some opinions would be cool.

it would be nice to order everything from mike but that is his only 2s battery option (other than max amps... but id prefer to stay away from them)

i have this set-up...4 cell and a 1515 1,5d geared 19/62 and its crazy(motor never go over 130f)


for the size o the pack....5000mah 11,1 volt and 8000mah 7,4 volt(maxamp specs)will fit in the case

if you are planning on running 4s you could get away with MM esc, which right now is the more dependable choice

how would they compare with the evo 30s?

also azjc. i know that i CAN go with the mm but id rather get the MMM if its out just so i can be sure i will have no heating problems. where i live it is around 110 outside so that doesnt help any.....

would you all prefer the FP 5000s or some max amps 8000s?

I have heard the Evo 30s dont hold thier voltage well, I am very satisfied with my Evo 25s, and go with the FPs they are so much better than Maxamps, I know about the heat thing I live in Phoenix and in the summer I wont run my Revo past 10am...I have never had any heat issues with my MM I am running on 4s for my rustler, and I dont run a fan or cap

that would be better, expect your electonics to run 40 degs hotter than the outside temps no matter what you use

and if they could just come out with a heat sink for the driver that would be great......LOL

would any FP 3s packs fit?

The True R/C 2s 15C 8000mAh packs fit in my E-Revo. It's a bit snug, but there are a lot of guys using them. They work like a champ and never break a sweat.

a FP 3s 5000 pack fits in each compartment

I'm only adding this info because if someone does a search, the info will be in this thread.

A123's will fit in the tray, but they will stick out the side by about 1/2". I used my A123 2s2p (6.6V, 4600) packs to test the fit.

I have the TrueRc 15c 2 cell 8000's also. They are a tight fit, but still....they fit. Great for long runtime on 4 cell set-up.

at 170mm long it may be a tight fit running the wires, but it should work.

4800X25/1000=120 Amps Constant --- 4800X35/1000=168 Amps Burst
enough for even the most demanding motors (neu)

not bad for under $60 a pop.

As for the e-revo itself... I did some measuring;


you can't see it good, but the measurement on the right is 10mm. So you have a total of 180mm in length, but the first and last 10mm only have 20mm of height.

Those batteries SHOULD work, but it will be close...
