This will be great as long as the monster class has rules and a wheely king with TC tires doesn't count as a monster!

Can a Monster Truck go ---- 100mph? - 07.26.2008, 11:25 PM

Good Point -- TexasSP
These are the rules/ that I can recall ;
http://www.fast-rc.co.uk/forum/index.php?page=16

-------------------------------------------------------

Monster Truck Class

Vehicles are classified Monster Truck if they meet the following criteria
· Any monster truck based kit. Tires must be a minimum diameter of 130mm and 70mm wide
· No foam tires allowed. No sidewall limit
· Bodyshell must be identified as truck (Stadium, Pickup or SUV are permitted).
· Bodyshell must not cover the wheels
· Car must be programmed to stop in the event of a signal loss

-------------------------------------------------------------

***The point is to have a true Monster Truck hold a Monster Truck record***
Since RC Car Action does not "own" this event -- Reasonable rules --- can be put in place.

Technically it's in a wheely king........

However the real record is 70 something in an e-maxx.

a wheelie king WITH ALMOST NOTHING LEFT... like the frame wasnt exactly stock and the wheels and body were interesting monster truck wheels.... its completely useless as a truck. thats the beauty of making a super speed truck, u can usually use it year round with a slightly more reliable/practical setup!

80 mph with a Monster Truck!
Who was that? It you be very cool to see the 'data" sheet......

tc3_racer_001
One way or another-- the 72.97mph will fall. ROSSA is trying to make sure the the "wheelie king thing" doesn't happen. --- I believe it's possible to take a "stock" MT kit, gear it up (maybe zip-tie the suspension) and go out and break the record.

MaxxFreak
No cell count limit - but I think 6s is enough to go very fast.....
