Anyone race at Hobby Hut in Philly? Possible Bl bash Aug 17th - 07.28.2008, 05:04 PM

Since the Barn is closed on the 17th, and Dirt Runners is Roar packs only, I was thinking about going to Hobby Hut in PA. Anyone interested in going?

Hobby Hut

I saw a thread on RCTech that Tony from Tony's Screws runs a BL 1/8th over there and a few other people do as well. I went and watched a race there and it seemed like a pretty nice track, tho no insane-o triples like at Barnstormers.

Hobby Hut is a few North of the PA turnpike up 476 (which runs to Easton, PA) Should be ~30min south of Easton I think, and about 20-30 min west of Trenton off 95.

I'm thinking it is too far :- 103 mi – about 2 hours 2 mins

I'm inclined to head up to Dirt Runner on the sat - I need the laps... There was still 6-8 ppl running a lots of other cars to mix it up with?

Yeah, it's 2.5hrs away from me, though a bunch of people from my LHS used to go down there for some 2 day race. I think it is a bit far for me.

Also Chris, dirt runners is ROAR packs only, I don't think my 8Ah lipos qualify and there is no electricity, you must use a generator or something.

IDK where to go...

Bye

Dirt Runner on the sat - Non ROAR is fine :))

There is no elec but have 2 packs for 4 cars so that keeps me happy - You can always change a couple of packs off of a car battery.

Especially now you have a new one :)

Ok, also I believe if the gate is not open to where the outdoor track is(Dirt runners), you would have to leave your car outside and walk all your stuff there. IDK, I have 2 packs for my CRT and 3 for my CRT.5 soo... Are they open on the 17th? Does anyone know the address for dirt runners?

Bye

I didn't have a lot of whole lot of hope for the NYC people, and I'm not sure where Arct1k lives (morristown area IIRC,) but I know there are some NJ and PA people around that don't go to the Barn.

I'm busy on the 16th, but I may have to go up to DR on a Sat practice day. I'm not going to be spending hundreds to buy ROAR packs just to run there tho. No frakin way lol.
