which truck next? - 10.18.2005, 10:22 AM

Well I have finished my bl revo and now its time for a new project. But I just can't decied which to pick. Here is the list on vehicles I can choose from and a rough preveiw of what I would like to do with them:

Jato, shere and neo motor /w cobalt brushed (both so I can race my buddy without being yelled cheater at) or lehner basic xl 5000

t4, shere/cobalt

Revo truggy, mbx trans lehner 20 series 36 cell

bl savage, 9xl 14 cells

RC18t, mamba

gr2 revo, all aluminum, 9xl

As you probably notice I said shere and neo motor /w cobalt because at the track near me the won't let me run brushless (which I think is really stupid). How good is this system really? Also does anyone have any ideas on other little trucks ( jato/t4 size)?

Well when I get my 7XL sorted with my Maxx will most likely move over to the G-Revo on launch and use the same setup. :)

rc18t with the mamba gets my vote..

compX with a 3S lipoly.. It will FLY and be as much fun as RC can be.

The revo's drivetrain is not able to hold 36 cells. No fit for a 1/8th diff or 4 spider(yet)

How much power can the Revo stand? Is it up for a 7XL/18cells or more?

(Sorry for thread hijacking).

Just wait for the after market guy's to make a big block conversion including diff's. Look at all the stuff out there allready, carbon arm's, cvd's, carbon chassis etc etc. A few more month's and there will be stronger diff's out there mark my word's.

My next truck is going to be the Mini LST -- hopefully it will be out next week! Just a little smaller than a stadium truck but mucho travel and 4WD. Should be perfect for my livingroom track this winter -- no furniture for me, just jumps. :)

A BL RC18T would be a nice toy.

The Revo driveline is tough, I have yet to find a weak spot.
I think if you put some money into the diffs, and get good center bones, it's good enough for 5S setups and more.
Only a matter of time until somebody comes up with an 8th scale diff convertion, and then it will be as good as any Maxx out there.

A center diff removes alot of stress from the drivetrain on those high speed drag runs, too.

ttrmike, how about a BL 1/8 buggy?
