My Hybrid 4X4 Slash LOL. LOL. - 08.14.2008, 12:11 AM

So I got home from camping today and after everything was packed a way and the kids are fast asleep, this is what DAD did.. What do think of my new look (?) Traxxas would be proud and X Ray would be insulted.. LOL.LOL.LOL..

I think it looks kind of cool myself, it was real easy to do I used all of the Traxxas parts and it bolted right up / on the Truggy it was completed before the bottle of wine was. I also ordered up the front and rear bumpers & skid plates for it, I think once I install those it will be good enough to fool the Traxxas forum boy.. I need to take it out and beat on it (crash it) and see how well the body and wing hold up, from first impressions, the body is going to snap like a twig, there is NO support in the middle and I doubt it can withstand the force of the Truggy on it (we’ll see).. The wing I think might last a full session (?) TBD.. I’ll post video of it later.

P.S.
NO X-Ray parts were actually hurt for this modification.. LOLLOLOLOL..

Have a great day everybody!..

Nothing!.. Hahahahaaa..

Hay Ross.
I actually trimmed them way back now, the only time they will hit is when it bottoms out, do think I need to go the extra mile to trim them further?? I don’t want to hurt my tires but at the same time I'm trying to keep a little of the Slash body / look left..

I don’t know..

Thanks for the comment though..

just make sure that no vertical edge can hit the tire if so if the tire ballons whil turning or while landing a jump it could hit that edge of the body and good bye tire, but if you have your tires taped i dont guess youd have to worry too much just trim up to where it clears when bottomed out.

i guess i just noticed that the wing is only mounted to the body, lol its gonna ripp the back of the body off forsure after a few good tumbles. please video it, we'd like to see what it looks like running, and we wanna see the body carnage too.
