Hydra 240 Doa!

I just got my boat fri... got everything set up proper then after calibrating and programing the control I'm getting no response from it at all no forward or reverse nothing. I've checked everything backwards and forwards to make sure It wasnt my fault I followed the instructions to the letter and the motor wont even make a peep. I suspect this might be a dud from the dead batch that finedesign got because my boat was delayed for a month while he was waiting for more controls to arrive, I spoke with cris before he shipped and told him specifically not to ship unless the esc was tested and worked...he agreed (I hope I wasn't lied to). I brought this up in a thread about a week ago hoping to get patrick or someone to clue me in or give me some input so I would know what to look for regarding this problem but because I had not even received the esc some people thought I was just kicking castle in the balls for no reason which was not the case...I was concerned about paying 400.00 bucks for a dud then sitting out the last few weeks of summer with no control. I will call castle in the morning and then call cris tuesday when he's open and try to find out what's going on. Patrick if you care to elaborate on this please do I'm all ears buddy.

Have you tried plugging the controller into a different motor?

I just checked both of my spare 1515 motors and nothing! Control wont do anything.

what radio are you using? try a cheap am anagloge unit and try that. i know for a fact that that particular range of escs wouldnt arm due to the same frequency used by the specktrum binding thingy... so the esc tries to be calibrated by the reciever and vice versa!

Cris you mean? Yea he is closed on monday but I'm calling his ass first thing in the morning to find out why after he and I discussed this thoroughly I still got a dud. I'm gonna let him know I'm not waiting for a replacement or a repair and that if this is in fact a dud I want an immediate refund so I can have mike order me an mgm 160.24 marine. I'm only mad at myself for being so stupid...mike was gonna sell me the 160.24 and I passed it up for this hydra (I'm such a fool). I'm a stupid moronic idiot!
