The bec is completly hit or miss - You can protect the fan with a teflon washer and the bottom fan connection by dremeling the case - See JHautz mod thread.

That said some ppl have been lucky and run theirs for hours with no issue

Where does the teflon washer go? Between the fan and the case? And I have not been able to find the jhautz mod thread, any chance of a link? Please!!!

i also read over the many threads and forums:
1- no switch
2- do not use MMM BEC use a receiver pack
3- plug fan into receiver or alternate power source not MMM

Just run it as it came out of the box, if it dies, castle will take care of you. In the meantime you can run your MGM while you wait. What, you don't have a MGM for back up? (I do)

Mods

Pic of less than 0.30" spacer to keep the fan from catching the shroud. Depending on the fan height, it may need to be shorter than 0.030".

here is a link to the washers themselves and a picture of it super glued inside the one of my MMM cases."

One more shot of how I pocketed some of the material out of the MMM case bottom so the fan plug and the other black component dont rub on the case. I just used a dremel and a flat bottomed bit.

If it's going to work it'll work just fine.

I'm still running 2 V1 MMMs with 6S on 1515 2.5d motors with the BEC and have had no problems to date.
