Just wondering which is better Bec..Need help.. - 09.14.2008, 10:21 PM

I am going to be running 4s lipos and need a BEC but not sure which one to go with. The Castle Creation BEC or the Sport BEC. I had the ultimate Bec by koolflight but it went bad.
-Which is the best pick for 1/8 buggy racing.
Need opinions ....

I use the Dimension Engineering ParkBEC6v in my 1/8th buggy with no problems (hs5645 and Spektrum). And the SportBEC in my Muggy, also no problems (hs5955 and Spektrum). The Sportbec should be able to run any servo no problem. I have no experience with the CC BEC.

Im currently using the CC Bec and have had no issues with it. A few people have had problems with it and there is a topic about it in the Castle Creations Section

I tried the CC BEC and it caused major glitching problems with my setup

Mtroniks Truck ESC
Spektrum radio equipment

I have a SportBEC on order right now.

sounds like you have another problem, in one of my trucks i have the CCbec sitting on the reciver and i have no glitching, ive read that yoru supposed to keep the bec far away from the reciver and that will help with glitching, but i also have been using the first one i bought over a year ago and have had 0 problems, it does worry me about the failure threads but i just have to tell myself something else went wrong to cause that, because i cant say anythtng bad about my CCbec (i have 3) because ive never had any trouble.

IMO the Western Robotics Hecules BEC is the best, if I would stop using it I would go with a Rx pack
