CRT.5 forum? - 09.17.2008, 11:23 PM

First want to say that I think this is by far the most informational forum available in the RC world! I spend countless hours each week on here looking for info and trying to provide for anyone that I can. With all the time I spend on here I knew it was only a matter of time before I wound up building a crt.5 as I think it's one of the most popular trucks amongst the members of RCM. So I did build one in July. Doing so I was looking for information on here and I see that there are many others that keep popping up with questions about this great little truggy. My thought is that there should be a seperate section dedicated to it just as there is for the T/E Maxx, Revo, Jato, and savage. Hope an administrator or Mike sees this and feels the same. I really think it would be a big help to many people on here and might even spark some more people to build one up!

I vote for this also!

Everyone has a crt.5, its such a fun car, and its cheap, or as expensive as you want to do it up, but in all ways, its extremely fun!

I agree, I just bought one a week ago and finished tonight installing the electronics...the 50 series Medusa does not like NiMHI batts...I put in a 3300kv w/a mm esc and to say the least she would hardly run. I put in an almost dead li-po and she sprang to life for a few seconds.

My crt.5 has Mike's 40mm ext chassis kit

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

The arms are nice, I dont like the idea of alu though, I wish they were plastic or something

I'm planning on keeping mine simple in hopes of maintaining reliability. Will be installing a new, stronger welded aluminum battery box tomorrow night. Also when I tear it down before the bash I'm going to be putting the stock rtr shocks on the back, right now I don't know what shocks are on it just that they werent intended for this and they suck IMO.

Thats some good camera work! A+ to the person behind the shutter. Some sick air too! Those pics solidify why this truggy should have it's own section on RC-M!

Haha, that was mom playing with her camera, I have over 300 something pics like those. Just never cared to upload them all lol. Thanks though

Air was insane, I wish there was video, thats around 20-25ft of air, the ramp it self was WAY taller them me, and im 6.2, so that thing was soaring! With 2s, and a 10.5 motor LOL.

Everyone should have a crt.5, I love this car! Probably my favorite bash car

I emailed Mike inquiring about this (us regular mods don't have the ability to just create new forums).

SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz

How aabout a 1/12th forum. Since it looks like ofna is relasing (or has recently released) a few other "mini" truggies. I'm sure tese conversions will start popping up as soon as the trucks are available.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

A 1/10-1/12 electric and conversion thread would be nice

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
