Slayer -> Revo - 09.21.2008, 08:22 PM

So I’ve had it with my new E-slayer. The suspension on this thing is terrible when coupled with the narrow wheelbase (vid). I’ve tried everything from sways, springs, new tires/wheels, etc, and am ready to cut my losses…

So short of down-right selling off this rig; I figured I could at least turn it into a capable Revo. Anybody know what parts would be needed to make the transition? I’m thinking F&R upper & lower suspension arms, new pushrods, steering links, and each wheel drive-axle shaft. Anybody know if the bulkhead mounting points are compatible, and the knuckles?

Lastly; anybody looking for a nice set of Slayer arms/shaft/etc? up for trade?

I did the opposite with my revo, and turned it into a slayer. The arms, driveshafts, pushrods, and toelinks are different. The tranny is also different, and you will need a small pinion to get the right gearing with revo size tires. I am sure that you could get 60+ for the used parts on ebay. It would be a 2.5 revo length after you finished, and would need a second steering servo, or maybe a high torque servo...

I feel that way sometimes when my slayer is upside down 400 feet across the parking lot. Or when I ease it into a turn, and still see the two inside tires go in the air.
