Setting up a 989 to charge two 4S lipos - 10.07.2008, 11:02 PM

We've got a setup using two Zippy 4S lipos that are going to be used in parrallel on a Novak HV. From my reading on here, there are basically three options for charging.

1) A single LBA10 balancer, with the packs wired in series as in some of the examples Brian has written up (I'm not certain that I completely understand the balance tap wiring instructions yet - I need to do some more homework on that).

2) Use two LBA10's with the Hyperion Network cable system. This is how Hyperion diagramed setting one up to charge two batteries in one of their manuals. Besides costing quite a bit more, what advantage will this have over #1?

3) Charge each pack on its own, still using an LBA10 for internal pack balancing.

I already have the equipment for #2, although they are still wrapped and could be returned (it was the vendors screw up that got them to me in the first place) for a refund. I'll likely have to return the balance adaptors, as I dont believe they are the JST-XH. When I initially placed the order, I think it was for the standard hyperion taps when I was going to charge my A123's on it.

I personally think I should go for the single balancer, any thoughts?
