Exclamation we need to step up our brushless mts - 10.08.2008, 07:48 PM

Guys we need to get our brushless mts going a little faster b/c the nitro guys are right here with us. Man this guy hit 65mph in his revo I didnt think it was possiable . The fastest e-revo I have seen is like 62mph. What gives. We cant have this happen to the electric community. We are looked down on buy the fellow rcs as slow electrics and just when we start going faster than them ,THIS HAPPENS http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=440526

His jato hit in the 70s too. Dang I guess when the economy here picks back up I am going to have to beat this!!!!! Some how

If any of you has a mt thats faster please let me know so my world of electrical supremecy doesnt fall like a house of cards

My xxx-t with my lehner basic on a 4s lipo was faster than his jato but havent seen a mt faster than that.

I've had my e-revo at 65, only 62 on video though.. this was with 6s lipo and my standard race gearing I run w/ 4s. If I would have dropped from a 58t to a 54t spur I would have easily hit 70mph. I would do it now but A) I sold my hpi phaltlines B) sold my 3s lipos C) Its setup for dirt racing now :)

I am now feeling a little better. Glad to hear that electrics are still faster even in the mts. If anyone has a video or can make one I would love to see it. Just so I can put some smack down on a friend who showed me that ideo. He is a nitro fan and in my email there was a "I told you nitro was faster" comment in there. I cant have that thrown at me without some amunition to fire back

Look up "Nic Case". You will notice that none of his builds involve nitro, and all beat 100mph...

You nitro friend has his head in the sand...

I plan to hopefully break 55mph in my E-Warhead on 6-8s lipo. All depends on if I can find a new job here soon. Also need to buy my first car so it may be awhile...

You need a nice runway and a very smooth throttle.. a little weight maybe needed if your truck has a tendancy to lift in the front. A few important things to hitting the top speeds.... phaltline tires, and lower the suspension so your just about scraping ;P

A 1515 1.5d on 6s will easy hit 70mph, you wouldn't want to run this all day but the Neu is more than capable of showing off and speed runs w/o issues. Again 22/54 in the e-revo will get you the gold, can shoot for more if you want but be careful with temps.

I think Lehner's are more suitable for high-speed applications. They heat up less with tall gearing.

Neu's would be fine with speed runs. But in general for speed runs you'd want to look into a 2-pole that is quality such as a Hacker.

Or a higher pole count and compensate with gearing.

After watching that video, I don't see 65mph. First, the guy holding the radar is MOVING IT. It is suppose to be 100% still and not turned with the car. A lot speed can be added there. Second, it is a Radar. We all know how "accurate" those things are. And last, just looking at the truck run looks to be a 45-50mph truck. Still fast, but no 65. I would like to see the truck with a GPS strapped to it. Electric are still king!

The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

if you look when the guy hits 65mph he is holding the radar straight. not moving it.

would it still affect it?

also, you are right... it does not look to be goin 65. but the radar is more accurate then our eyes.
