At sunday I will run the 80 mm at a race. It is a 3 x 21 minutes race. I will have a blackbox logging all data. My son will race also and will run a neu 1515/2.5d also all data will be logged. Truggies are the same, both OT Fusion 8-T. Both are the only brushless in that race.
OT Fusion 8-T's are prototypes brushless designed by Fioroni (Italy). By Vittorio Moroni himself. Vittorio is the name behind the buggies that wonn the worlds in 2004 and 2006. Last one was offcourse the MP777 of Pavidis. He did & was in charge of the pitwork for Pavidis in Jakarta also. Design & layout of his brushless line is completely different from what is offered by others like rc-design, losi (8-e), tekno and can be found as projects on fora like this one. I have run the tekno v3 8ight, Losi 8-E and a homemade conversion based on the parts monster-mike offers. Definitely like the Fioroni conversion. Vittorio did again a great job. It handles exactly as my nitro-8igth.
I am not allowed to show pictures of the OT-conversion at this moment. Presentation (+introduction) is planned for november at the 'Arena' in Italy (a Indoor event with > 300 drivers). Films of racing the proto's are however allowed and first will be shot the coming weekend. Conversion's (typical Fioroni style design's and everything made of 7075 alloy) for 8ight, 8igth-t, MBX5(R), RC8, RC8-T, MP777, XB808 and MBX6 can be expected next month.
