Z series uses the black box to give you data recording capability.

Yep, E series would be fine if you don't need data recording.

I've bitch the MGM since my 16018 have catch in fire, but now, if Castle's not able to make the V3 better, i'll go for another MGM 16024 E-Serie, and run it on 4s li-po max this time

I think you could run 6s on the 16024. It rated for 8s so that should still give you enough margin for braking, etc.

I don't have a laptop so with this in mind I went with the programming card and it's nice and it's nice and simple to use and takes up hardly any room in your tool box. Don't get me wrong there's probably benefits to doing it via a PC or laptop but for convenience at the trackside you might want to get the card as well.
 Losi 8T RR - Novarossi Plus 21-5BT/ Jammin JP3 - Teknorc 8T - Neu 1515-1Y - MGM 16025-3 Z Series ESC.

I just see that the MGM 16018 with V3.22 is on sale at I-Care Ikarus rc, in Canada. $159.99 for a brand new MGM 16018.

If the brake was better on this fu.... controller, i'll order one for sure at this price.
But i don't have good result on my old 16018, on 6s in my e-revo. The brake was on/off, no progressive at all.
And more, it catch fire

That...is awesome. Or that 16024 with 3.23 for $229! Too bad I'm already over my RC budget for this month!

Weighing the options between the 16024 or lutach's 10s esc. I'll probably get lutach's because of the amazing price though.

Anyways, i'll only run on 3s in my slash and 4s in my crt.5, so a good MM is enough, and way MORE reliable than a MGM with wayyyyyyyyy better brake
