This should be interesting... - 10.20.2008, 07:59 PM

Thats right, a 1521 1y with 24/36 gearing on 6s lipo in an erevo. I am sick of hearing how great the vtwin emaxx are so I am doing it my own way. That gearing should give me at leasy 60mph. I will be using hybrid diffs. I have room to run a larger pinion, but not much. Looks like I could fit a 26-27t in there.

Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075
Transmission Ratio: 1.8333333333333334
Spur Tooth Count: 36
Pinion Tooth Count: 24
Total Voltage: 22.2
Motor KV: 1577
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.75
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Total Motor Speed: 35009.4 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 65.84 mph (105.76 km/h)
Estimated Adjusted Speed: 60 mph (96 km/h) - 9% loss

This is with no tire ballooning factored in...

WAY TO GO PIMP. It is getting to be fun watching your projects now. Between you and Shaun we can tell that just doing the normal stuff is much toooooo boring for you now. I am planning to get one of those 1521's myself for one of my Maxx projects. Like you I love to push the envelope way beyond the normal limits of expectation. Just how much power can we shove through the drivetrain before disaster stikes. That is the question???

Plus learning to keep such power under control is the key. Never say never.

Wouser's, this should be fun!

I never got the appeal of the v-twin, too many components for not enough results. At least if it had been done with the MM it would have been half interesting.

THAT is awesome! How long is that motor?

Even the 60mm Medusa geared for 60mph on 6S is a WILD ride. I can only imagine what your setup is gonna do.

Just remember, big amp draw and keep an eye on your temps. That's one seriously hungry setup.

You might wanna wear a face shield to protect yourself from the rubber flying off the rims! LOL

I was going to use this motor in my lst and put the hacker c50 11xl out of the lst into the revo. But then I thought that the revo would be lighter...

Any ideas if the polyquest 6000 3s 25c packs will fit in the erevo battery trays? I remember a great pic with some measurements in it, Neil might have posted it, but I cannot find it right now...

I can not take credit for this pic, only for being smart enough to save it to my computer This is the pic from Neil you where looking for. I just got my NeuEnergy 4900Mah 3s packs and they JUST fit in, take out the sping from the top and the adjustable stop, nothing in the tray except the foam at the front and the battery.

I can't imagine how crazy that setup is going to be Pimp! I just ran mine on 6s and its crazy! MMM/1515 2.5d Tekno Neu/6s NeuEnergy I have it geared 62/22 just over 40MPH, and it's crazy, 20-25MPH wheelies are nothing. I lost a 17mm nut holding my MaximizerBL/Badlands on so I came back in and put the talons back on. It hooks way better on pavement with the talons.

Thanks for the pic. Does not look like the 6000 packs will fit. Hopefully my 4500 30c 3s packs are up to the task.

Looks like it will fit. I cannot run the motor in the high cg mounting as there is not enough clearance for the pinion. I may have to clearance the mount to fit the pinion if the rear shock mount will not fit...

Great motor. I had that in my 8t on 5s and loved it. Could pretty much gear it how ever I wanted.
