My New V3 Is Working Great - 11.16.2008, 05:55 PM

Can someone give me a Hell yaaaaaaaaaaaaa

well I post when my monsters weren't working so let me post some positive news

I got the replacement to my v3 that I killed being too aggressive....well I have changed my evil ways and learned a lot here from all the fine folks (you too Neil) and very special thanks to BrianG for his calculator which I use religiously now

Took the crt 1x to the track with my 1515/2.5d on 6s geared 12/62 and the new v3 monster.....truck ran like a raped ape and cool as could be ...fan on monster never came on...motor was like 120 esc 109 batts about 110....truck ran flawlessly until it took a jump and when it landed it broke a cap joint

was a pleasure not to fry anything for a change

thanks Castle for building us an affordable 6s esc that I think you have finally gotten the bugs worked out

The fan on my esc kept coming on on the weekend and the highest temp I saw on it was 109f. I stuck 2 fans and heat sinks on my feigao motor and it seems to be staying cool enough now. My v3 though worked perfectly and I am using the internal bec this time. I can't wait to take this truck to the track and give it a flogging because babying this truck is getting really boring.

i swear this thing has more power!!! just got mine today after the long warranty wait. i still have 30% more to go on punch control and already its scary. i dont think it was this peaky or scary when i was doing speed runs with the v2. on the v2 it was set at 0% punch and rarely flipped. tonight...my god!!
on the dirt...rooster tails everywhere, ended up having to sweep the road with all the debris it was throwing out.
it was well worth the wait, however it does look a bit menacing with the 5s2p a123s bulging out the side.
thank you thank you thank you thank you castle :P

Mine has 8 packs through it so far and going stong! I took my buggy to the track for the first time yesterday and by far had the fastest thing there. the back half of the track is a dirt oval. I was up on the drivers stand with a few nitro buggy guys doing the oval. I was tailing a losi for about 10 laps until I got the hang of it. the losi driver made a snide comment about :I thought brushless was fast. Coming out of the next corner onto the straight I pegged it and shot around him and about 20 buggy lengths ahead going into the next corner and lapped him 4 laps later. :)

I have ran two 5s packs through my v3 in my Mugen MBX4 conversion and so far it is holding up. I have 100% punch control, 8 motor timing, low start power, and this baby will still make the buggy wheelie. It sounds like its about to break something it has so much power. I predict I will have to be tearing apart my diffs soon.
