you could also put a 3 cylinder geo motor in a camaro, but I wouldn't do that either!

Have you tried using the search feature? There are some people on here running all combos in the crt.5 including a complete vxl system and a MM/vxl motor combo. My question to you is why do you want to know? According to your sig you have a Medusa in yours. IMO the only thing better than the Medusa for a crt.5 would be a Neu but I don't think there's the need to spend the extra $ when a Medusa handles these truggies with ease. I hope your not planning on down grading!

VXL motor would be a nice choice but I would go with Mamba Max or Sidewinder ESC over the Traxxas one

VXL motor is a Feigao 10s. A 9L would be much more suitable but since you already have a Medusa I wouldn't change a thing.

The VXL motors are longer than the Feigao "s" motors, though.

The only reason why I think the VXL wouldn't be adequate is because it has a 1/8" shaft.

The windings and magnet are shorter than the s can. The exterior may be physically longer, but there is quite a bit of empty space in there. My various s can motors outperformed the vxl motor I had, both in power output and temps.

The medusa is much superior to the vxl motor, and the mm esc is better than the vxl esc. Not much of a price difference either, 40 bucks or so...

+1, Medusas are a ton better. The price difference between the MM and VXL ESCs is $10 and the MM is MUCH better. I had nothing but trouble with my VXL system, but Mambas have always been totally reliable.
