anybody here did or working on a full size ev conversion?
i'm thinking of trying one this spring! probably a motorcyle to start off easy...
any suggestion for the cheapest place to buy parts?

2WD AL. GorillaMaxx (7lbs with batteries)
hey guys... been a while. anyway, i'm thinking i am going to do a full on jeep conversion. a bike conversion sounds really good too...
i need to find some places to research motors. batteries i'm thinking the new ones by a123. good stuff for the future. hopefully i'll have it done by 2010 =)

I guess I must have missed this thread, but I just took a look at some random threads in that link and there seems to be an awfully lot of ignorant people! Personally, if you have questions like "what do amps, volts, and watts mean", then you should not be attempting a project of that scale! Dealing with hundreds of volts without any idea of what you are doing is just asking for a one way trip to the pearly gates. These people should start smaller, like brushless RC. A lot of the principles are the same or similar.
as long as they use a video camera..... it should be interesting
