differance in brands? new to buggy's - 12.07.2008, 12:10 PM

trying to decide between few different Ofna 8.0's, 8.5's and a Mugen MBX5R.

whats the differance between all of these? please advise soon as my decision needs to be made within the next 5 hours.. thanks!

I can speek for the mugens...they are extremely tough and easy to drive. I bash my mbx-5 hard and have only broken an a-arm...both my own dumb fault for taking my eye of thee buggy as it was doing 50


1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

haha.. sounds like a memory though.

i am up against getting an MBX5R with lightened chassis with nothing else. no wheels, body, spares... nothing. 160ish shipped. then i have to convert..
vs
Ofna 8 converted to brushless already with 2 sets of tires and 1 body. >100 for sure


so there is my delima. i have no idea what to get. would the Ofna break alot?

Have you ever looked at the XRay XB8?? they are around $200 on eBay and they are great buggies.. Just a thought..

just got a Hyper 8 already converted to brushless for 66 bucks off ebay last night. needs to get thrown in the washing machine. other than that all seems fine.
