$66 Ofna 8 Hyper already Converted to BL - 12.09.2008, 10:04 AM

yea thats right baby. (hope i am not biting my own tounge here)

after that i got a lipo and charger. my first lipo and i am stoked. yes, i know it looks a bit dirty right now, i will keep you guys posted on its reincarnation as it goes. just sold my emaxx and got this to start new memories with. DickyT introduced me into his MBX5 and i got hooked. this last sat when he left, i stripped my emaxx down, put it on ebay and within 24 hours it was sold at the buy now price. very very cool.

anyways, i am not sure if i need new springs, shocks, etc. i will find all this out HOPEFULLY this friday when it arrives. if not, then on sat. i need to strip it down, change shock oil, diff grease, etc. hope it all gets back together without an extra screw. oh and i definatly need to get a battery tray. this guy used 2 electrical boxes to make a tray. i am sure i will let it be for a week or so while waiting on mike.

here are some pics that he sent me for your viewing pleasure.

wish me luck people!

thanks bro. i am so anxious. maybe a bit more anxious to get the lipo. i have been using SPC 7 cells, just blew one cell and converted both packs to 6 cells. still fun but i have used DickyT's trucks often and the lipo is just sooo much better.

No sh--. I had one come out of my E maxx, it pulled a battery bar off and the cell burst. I figured it was time for lipos. Got a slab of ceramic tile and mini grill top for charging, and $8.00 ammo cans for storage. Good luck! I'm sure we will see it soon in one of DickyT's vids. Keep us up on the progress. Always fun to watch. I just got a x1crt. Way different than my E Maxx. The maxx if fun but the x1 is badass. That buggy will be a rocket.

I'm in the same boat as you. Barely even held a Lipo but I am gonna make the switch with my buggy e-conversion as well. I plan to pick up a Lipo for my crawler to while I'm at. What charger and Lipo did you go with?

Looks like you found a decent buggy to start with.

He was running mechanical brakes?

i got the hobbycity 5000mah 20-30c 4s lipo with some charger for 200 bucks. should be here in a few days. i dont know why he had those brakes, i cant seem to justify it. would be cool to play with it and see what i can make it do around corners. i need to get a decent steering servo first thing though. and the obvious battery tray too.

i will definatly post my own pics when the buggy gets here. then more after its bath.

Sweet! Hook us up! Always see your stuff in DickyT's vids. Good to have someone to bash and vid tape with.

i just got a macbook and trying to figure out this iMovie thing. looks so simple but i havent used a mac before. anyways, i will post up some vids from our saterday 20 min of fun in the parking lot at dicky's house.

question though.. which battery tray should i get? there is a Losi tray thats cheap, but works. DickyT says i have to countersink some holes or something? not sure if i should go with this one or the more expensive one on here.

please give me some advice asap. i need to order this today. the Lipo and charger should be here tomorrow or the next day and i have no way to secure it.

option 1

option 2
