FLM Hybrids Help please - 12.08.2005, 11:48 PM

Hi all, I got my 1/8 gears (UE) from Mike today and the drive cups don't go through the wholes in the hybrids. Or i am not putting them togather right? And the diff. cup screw wholes are not threaded. Is this right or wrong?:C:

Sound's familiar to me. Serum had the same problem. You'll need to drill/ dremel the hole's a little.

It's the small ring on the diff that is threaded, not the ring gear.

If it's not threaded send it back for a replacement.

They should fit, they did a redesign..
one halve of the hybrid should be threaded, the other halve shouldn't

The diffs should fit those bulks just fine, as serum said. I have built 4 sets recently and they all worked perfectly fine with the UE diffs.
For the 6 spider diffs, simply turn the screws into the plastic cup. If the plastic cups were tapped, the screws wouldn't hold very well.

The hybrids are two pieces, you just put the diff in and put the two pieces together.

It almost sounds as if you got a set of combo bulks not the hybirds. Can get a part number off them? Maybe match it up to see.

Peace!
