People have used a the Medusa 60 with good results, but I'd personally opt for the 70mm version they have out now...

Welcome! The medusa you mentioned will work, but I too would go with a 70mm

Welcome to RCM posting.

I too am building a BL 8ight. I will be doing the build in the next few months. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out and which Medusa you go with. I have been considering a Medusa BL motor for my 8ight AND an E-Maxx project.

What esc are you planning to use?

Best of luck to you
