My BL MM CRT.5 Build :) - 01.04.2009, 05:52 AM

Anyway some of you guys have helped me along already and I wanted to start a actual build thread so I stop making so many threads....sorry bout that. I have had some issues with my MM5700, I think I thermalled and damagnitized it during my last run a couple months ago. I was was really ripping on it on some speed passes and shredded a cvd on the T4.

Without the demag issue being know this is where I am on the build(pics). I guess when I order the medusa replacement I will paint a body and do some more tweaks. I have a flimsy sheet of blue CF that I am thinking of making a chassis protector out of too. It looks cool as its dark blue CF.

Spetrum micro rx
dx2.0
Maxamps 2s and 3s 6000mah
Team blue Groove extended chassis and conversion
have some bowties on 2.2's and stockies mounted

I will take more pics during the build. Also will post pics of the chassis difference in length. Other than that its now the waiting game. I will order a motor tomorrow.

I tried to install the MMM 2200kv in this little guy and the can is just a hair long and is resting on the wing mount. If you wondering why.....just bored and I thought it might be fun. I only have 3s at the moment so it should be ok.

Contemplating romving the wing assembly.....

"Slightly" overpowered much?

Just be careful not to gear too high to compensate for lack of top speed (since the motor is only running at 24k rpm @ 3s). Doing so may cause excessive current at startup and really low speeds and stress the battery.

TY for the heads up Brian. I was wondering if it would be okay...I was going to closly monitor the teps for sure.

Just got word form Castle and they said the motor is shot and they are checking out the esc as we speak. I was out of warranty by less then 2 weeks when it happened. Oh well at least the MMM is warrantied.

Yup. def overpowered and if I have to run no wing then I will be doing alot of chasing/flipping I am sure.
