Kyosho Desert Racing Truck (DRT) - 01.06.2009, 10:58 AM

I'm really surprised no one has posted this yet.

More details available here:
http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/cars/in...part_num=31082

It's just a bit smaller than the Slash, but would probably be a lot of fun with brushless power. No word on price yet.

Cool! A 1/10 trophy truck that's 4wd! I think I'll have to get one. Or the mini e-revo.

Get me back into RC!

Is it me or does this thing have the motor and servos on the wrong sides??? Maybe Im just used to 1/8.

I wonder what motor mount would work for this thing? Anyine do one of the other Kyosho 1/10 4wd vehicles yet?

Im actually am liking that little guy. I havent ben all that interested in the slash and wasnt willing to spend the money on the SC8 but this little guy could be interesting. A 50mm Medusa, 3s and the old MM I have sitting in the parts bin and I could be in business.

Hmmm....

jhautz - check out the post above yours. Has a link to my dst. Right now Mike doesn't have one that fits it due to the 18mm bearing that goes around the center differentail. I made a mount out of lexan. I didn't want Mike to make one just for one RC but if there's a few more people interested in getting Mike to make one for us. I'd buy one for sure.

Yeah, the servo is on the wrong side. Seem Kyosho always finds a way to be different.

What size is the inside diameter of the bearing for the center dif?

Just wondering if finding a different bearing with a normal 16mm outside diameter and an inside diameter that fits the diff would be an option to making a standard Kyosho dif work. Do you know if the chassis mount hold for the center dif/motor mount would line up with the chassis holes or is that different too?

Hmm, looks like a ls10 style truck... Hope it has better wheel bearings and such.

I've compiled what I've found out about the Kyosho D series center diffs and RCM mounts and put it in here. Has some different options but could use some input.

Looks good. I like how they have encased all of the electronics. Would make for a super clean conversion.
