Exclamation wanting to bomb proof my brushless racing emaxx - 01.12.2009, 08:26 PM

Hey guys need some help!!! I have a CF chasis fastlane arms, limited engineering shocks, a fiegao 9xl and mamba max esc. Problem is i keep on stipping my gears! Ive already upgraded my idler gear to rrp. My gear ratio is 66/21. I have stripped my gear three times already. I would like to make my truck bomb proof in terms of internals. Last time i ran my Truck was more than a year a go because of the problems i keep getting which is getting really expensive. By the way I use a a series of 2s2p lipos which comes out at 14.4 V. Any suggetions? Ill be going to new jersey and san francisco this summer. Are there any shops i could go to ? or just order from mike and have it delivered to my father in laws house. Also, I'm kinda on a budget max is $200 as i spent a whole lot on my truck already. Actually the Mrs. is kinda totally against fixin my truck.!!!! help!

How about the G-Maxx single speed and RCM idlers? That would be under $100. Then if the diffs start to die go with some LST diffs. Hope it helps.

I'm sure there are many that have had good luck with rrp gears, but lately it seems that many of the people having gear problems are using them. As TB13 already suggested, get the GorillaMaxx single speed conversion for your tranny and a RC-Monster steel idler gear. Not sure what kinda gears your running to get 66/21 gearing but if your using the old e-maxx style slipper I would highly recomend doing a revo spec slipper conversion. Then run a traxxas spur, 65t or 68t, along with a new pinion from RC-Monster.

SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh

1. Which gears are you actually stripping exactly?
2. rc4wd.com sell a full set of alloy tranny gears that should solve your issues internally with the tranny atleast (they wont sell the individual gears as I already asked, but they did give me a $10 discount atleast on the full set).
3. RCM doesnt sell upgraded maxx diffs- I wouldnt waste your time with alloy cups and cases for the stock diffs as it doesnt always fix the issue, which is weak spider gears.
4. Unlimited Engineering sell 1/8 scale diffs for the maxx, check ebay for a pair of the Ultra Lite 6 spider diffs, should cost about $160 or so, best you can get for the price.
5. It is possible to modify some LST diffs to fit the maxx bulks, much cheaper than UE option but requires a little bit of work:

Have fun!
