nitro and bodies. - 12.26.2005, 05:08 PM

I want to know if I run a suburban body on my savage 4.6. Will I need to cut holes for aire in the body or somthing. I have just setting around collecting dust and would love to thrash it. I can hack the windshield out or something. I don't want to over heat the motor. Thanks

Peace!

I would. Just for the sole purpose of getting in some cool air to the carb instead of the warm air it would be getting if you didn't cut any holes.
Is this yer new Savage you were talking about getting? Or have you had this one.

It was a present from the wife. :D I love that woman. Last year emaxx this year savage 4.6. I am putting it together now. I got the stock body but the suburban is not getting used for nothing at the moment. I hack the windshield out and it be ok. I think.

Yes, can't wives be great sometimes.
Ya I would definitely get some kind of airflow through there. And give us some pics of it when you get everything finished.
Does that 4.6 have the 3 speed?

I have to get a few things for it before it is finished. I want reverse and it don't have it at the momment. thanks for input.

nice CHC! you'll love the savage. you could cut the whole wind shield out and put wire mesh in its place, you can use a hot glue gun to stick it there. the mesh lets the air in without letting any clumps of dirt in. i want another savage now lol.
