I've been throwing around a couple ideas for a move into the 1:8 world. I'm considering an OFNA GTP machine, nice and cheap, but I really like the idea of an 808 as I hear they are some superb quality machinery. Only thing I'm wondering about is if there is a center spool available for the 808, I like the idea of equal drive all the time front to rear. 808 fans...is there one available? Or is there a real benefit to having a center diff? I'm just going to use the buggy for bashing/speed runs, no track or racing.
if you lock the ctr diff it will flip over backwards. also it will push going into a turn. have less steering. if yu just bash it might not matter. cant hurt to experiment with oils.

Didnt think of that...just jam the diff gears to lock it. Solution found! lol
I'll tell ya...I'm really looking forward to that new '09 808 coming in stock. I'm discovering my 1:10 buggy speed machine's power handling limitations. While the thing handles great, I dont think it was ever intended to be powered like I have it, lol.
