shattered my wheel today - 02.28.2009, 11:36 AM

Hi guys,

took my e-revo out today (MMM + 6s) and shattered my front left wheel. The wheel snapped and just flew apart lol. it was pretty cool and a bit gutreching (for me) to watch. So now im in the market for some new wheels!

Even though i just broke one, i'd like to replace all of the stock ones because they are a bit small and i dont like them that much...

basically i want a wheel that is pretty big so i can get over long grass without any problem, fairly wide so it can corner better without flipping, and just generally tough so as not to wear out or crack the rim. Also I hate it when the tires balloon so if anyone knows of a tire that does it the least, that would be very helpful.

I think i want to also upgrade to 17mm or 23mm hexes (i was told a while ago that 17mm were better, but i cant remember why  )

is it worth getting beadlocks to help the tire stay on the rim?

what does half offset mean? does it mean that the rims are further away from the chassis, than if you had standard offset?

I was looking at some big joes, and some mashers and moabs. these are the ones:

http://www.prolineracing.com/p-299-m...40-series.aspx

and for the rims, i was looking at these:

im not sure if those will fit the 40-series tires though.

if anyone has any pictures, or any other reccommendadtions, id be most greatful :p

many thanks guys
