asking the wife - 03.08.2009, 10:35 PM

have you have asked the wife if she wanted to go with you when you run your RCs and has she ever said yes? I think it is more likely that a girlfriend would.....

Last time this happend, my friend let his girlfriend drive his buggy off a ramp on the side of the street facing the curb.. she missed the ramp completely at 1/2 throttle and smashed into the curb.... So im not gonna risk it

My g/f seems to tolerate my hobby quite well. She knows everyone has to have their "thing". She probably figures it's better than me going to the bar doing who knows what, or drinking, or being a couch potato, or....

However, she said she wanted to go with me to the track sometime. She might not enjoy it as much as I do, but she's making the effort, which is a LOT more than I can say for most girlfriends/wives.

My wife thinks the rcs sound cool when you smack the steel building with them... Otherwise see really does not mind me playing with them. It is her fault, casue she bought me a cheap one for christmas 3 yrs ago, and that is when my fixation started.

my gf loves practicing and racing....this year instead of 1/10th 2wd and 4wd she'll be running my xray...which is kinda her's now since she buys everything for it, (including new tires, bodies {which she goes through alot of}, and what ever it needs...

so far my gf has had a micro-t, rustler, lazer zx-5, slash, t4, j82, and now my xray....

im lucky

my wife used to come with me when i used to race in lake havasu , az .the reason was cause the track is right on the lake, so her and the kids would play in the water and i would race. worked out perfect.

My wife would last about 10 seconds at the track.

I've asked her allong a number of times, but she seems to always be to "busy" to tag allong. Its OK though. She tolerates the hobby quite well. Hanging out at the track is much better than hanging out at the bar.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
