MMM V3 settings - 03.15.2009, 03:34 PM

I am going to be running this on a Traxxas Slash with a Medusa 36-50-3300. What timing and punch settings should I set it at? I will be running 2s and 3s. I know with my Neu 1.5d in my E Revo they recommended the lowest timing setting. I also plan on running it in "auto" mode for LVC due to running 2s and 3s. Comments

I am running a Medusa 50 series 3300kv in my daughter's crt.5 and I run: (I am running a mm esc not a mmm esc)

1. Med. start power
2. Timing 2
3. punch control set to 20%
4. 2s 5k 20c battery

Now the esc has been running hotter that I like with this set up....150-160... I started w/0 timing and have advanced it to 2 w/a small improvement. This week I will advance it to 5 and retest. I will also drop 1 tooth on the pinion as well.

Medusa recommends for this motor 8-15 timing believe it or not.

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

Hmmm, I wonder where I should start????? I have a PQ 30c 2s 5000mah pack and a Poly R/C 30c 3s 5000mah pack. Got a SPC 2s 5000mah pack that is 15c too.

You may not have any trouble w/the mmm. I thought I'd share my experiences w/you.

For what it is worth, I would start w/med. start power and 5-6 timing and see where that goes

On my other crt.5, I am running a 1509 Tekno Neu 3300kv on 3s w/ 25c Zippy H packs on med power and 0 timing w/no probs at all.

I am also using a cc bec as well which helps take some of the pressure off the esc
