Bought a House, been busy - 04.22.2009, 03:41 PM

I haven't been on much at all in the past month and a half because my wife and I just bought a House. We moved in March 30th and have been busy with it and normal life since. Haven't touched my rc's except to move them around since Mid March. I will try to post some pictures up later.

I will say it is darn nice being out of an apartment and in a quiet neighborhood. I grew up on acreage so the apartment gig was pure torture for me.

Congrats man! Your life will never be the same. Even with a new house, there's always something that needs to be done!

Congrats! I grew up on a farm, I hate living in an apt. now. Now you just have to convince the wife it's an r/c room, not a den

Congrats on the purchase man. I too can't live in a apartment. It's a good time to buy a house these days.

Congrats...Please don't take pictures of any extra space like another member did , first thing that popped in my head was a R/C track with a nice view of the mountain.

Nice thing is that I back up to a large retention system which is dry unless it rains. It drains out quickly and leaves a very large 20 + acre area for bashing. People in the neighborhood ride motorcycles, 4wheelers, bikes, and horses back there too.

I Am actually not far from your door snellemin. Stuebner just north of 2920.

I like it so far. I bought the model home and cut a deal for all the furniture. Some we kept and some we didn't. Got a little of 2500 square feet which is over twice what we had in the apartment.

My son loves it too, he is 2 1/2 and the yard and extra space were greatly needed.

Congrats Brian!! Glad to hear it. Does it have a garage...umm...I mean an R/C shop?

The next great moment is when you pay it off. I was able to do that this year! I hope you enjoy it!

I have a good friend who lives in Northpointe, just can't remember the street. Another friend lives in Northern Point, on the opposite side of Hufsmith/Khorville.

Thanks for all the congrats everyone. Still working to get pics.

Mark, paying it off is a definite plus, but unfortunately not in the immediate future....

Congrats on knocking out your note though.

I will say one thing, and others I know have experienced this as well. The creditors have gotten stupid. After what I went through to get this one, I have no desire to do it over again, ever. My bank jacked me around the day of closing then at 5:20 pm started asking me for more information. This after not communicating with me for a week. I was supposed to close Thursday March 26th, but did not close until Monday March 30th.
