icharger issue... - 05.28.2009, 10:42 PM

Having a bit of a problem with my charger. When I hook up a battery to the charger (any kind) I run into a problem. All goes well until it tries to start charging. As soon as it checks the battery and goes to charge it just quits. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the charger? Can anyone help me out before I have to buy a new one.
Thanks

Does it shut off, error out, or what? Also, I assume this is a DC charger, so what power supply are you using?

Yes it is a DC charger. I am using a Common Sense power supply that I know works fine as I have tried with 2 of my friends chargers with no problems. All it does after it does the check on the batteries before it starts to charge is shut off. There is no errors or anything. Just shuts off the charger.

Sounds like something is bad in the charger. Unless you can open it up and find something, it looks like it may be time for a new charger.

Try this, plug your battery in (to charge leads) and DONT plug powersupply, if charger starts up, then its broken, send it for change. I had this issue with brand new icharger.
