Tires to fit these wheels - 06.17.2009, 11:29 AM

I'm looking into putting some Hyper ST wheels on my 8ight-T. These in particular:

What tires fit these rims? I've seen it stated that only Hyper tires will and I can't find any diameter readings to start guessing on. I have a set of Crimefighter LPR's sitting here in need of wheels and I don't want to go with the traditional dish or J Concepts Relux wheels. But I will if thats my last resort. But I really like the look of the Hyper ST wheels.

Any help here?

I think that only the HST tires will fit because of the horizontal bead on the rims. The HST tires are not bad, but they do wear out quickly if you have too much Castor.

That rim appears to use a mount method similar to an 1/8 buggy rim, so I doubt any proline tire will fit it.

Ah, I would if I could trim it to fit some LPR's...

Or I guess I'm stuck with Dishes or Reluxs....

I wouldn't try trimming things to make those rims work with proline tires. It will turn out ugly, and I doubt they will stay glued on for long.
These are the only other tires I know of, that will fit hyper rims http://www.globalhobby.com/public/xt...ery/149932.asp Very good on grass, but I haven't tried them on anything else yet.

Well I decided to grab a set of Losi's XTT premounts. I'm surprised at how good they work on the track. The glue job is pretty good and is holding up to the 2200kv on 4s geared for 40mph pretty well.

But I'll probably end up getting some dishes for the CF's also.
