Will a RCM heatsink keep the end of my Medusa on? - 06.17.2009, 04:24 PM

The back of one of my Medusa motors popped off. Will a heatsink keep it from happening again.

Also should I put some sort of glue on it before putting it back together?

The RC-Monster clamping heatsink will keep the endbell on your motor. If you want to run in the meantime, some slow curing CA should do the trick.

or JB weld

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Anyone come up with a clever removable solution that will keep the motor in one piece until Mike has finished the medusa specific clamps.

I suppose theoretically there isn't problem duct tape can't fix so I suppose it would work.

hot glue would be fine

what about a c clamp that goes from the motor mount to the back of the motor?
or for that matter, zipties around the length of the can, and then some tape around the round part of the can to hold the zipties in place

or even mounting a piece of aluminum angle stock so that the angle sits up tight against the back of the motor
