Popular choice will be the rcm motor mount, with the motor on the right rear of the chassis. You may have to cut the servo tray (not sure if the rcm mount comes with the servo plate) to make room for the pinion. Mst here use the motor for braking, so you can ditch the mech brakes. Battery tray will go in the fuel tank location, and probably extend back to the rec center diff bulkhead. You can place the esc across from the motor behind the battery tray.

As far as electronics go, a 1800-2200 kv motor on 5s lipo will be the best bet for a truggy. I would go with a castle MMM/2200 system. Not sure what tires you plan to run, or what speeds you want, but you should be able to gear accordingly. If you plan to keep the "ferris wheel" spur on that truck the rcm mod1 pinions will be the best be as they are hardened/material better than pretty much anything else out there. You need a good pinion to use on a steel spur.

As far as battery choice goes the sky is the limit. Mike sells some excellent batteries in the rcm store, something around 5000mah 25c 5s will be good for decent runtimes in the crt.

Going with a hobby wing combo? Go with the 150 esc and not the 80. The larger tires on a truggy will load the system more. You can go with 4s, just make sure you get good lipos, capable of at least 150 amps cont.

Buy 2 of the batts, just in case... They are great value and seem to perform as spec-ed, but having a spare is a great idea, as the cheaper packs have some issues with the internal contruction and assembly. I repair lipos, so just a friendly bit of advice!

Personally 5s is the way to go, but everyone should try 4s and then go to 5s to really see the benefits. I had alot of 4s setups, and since I went to 5 and 6s I have not even bothered with 4s. Maybe good for a racing 1/8 buggy with the cc 2650 motor, but I do not race, and a 2000kv motor on 5s seems great with my 1/8 buggies. For heavier vehicles like truggies and MT, 5s+ is the way to go. So much less stress on the esc and batts. And better motor temps, and more runtime too. Just a little extra weight for the extra cell, and that is less than 100grams.

I've built an x1 CRt and tried both 4s and 5s and 5s is the way to go, I get about 18 mins racing on track continues on a 5s 5000mah 30c pack. RCM motor mount for the CRT comes with a servo top plate.

Sounds like he has a good setup. Did you have fun? You were playing with some other dude's junk... (sounds a bit questionable, huh!)

well I ran my jammin(still nitro) alot and can still kill him lol. He just lets me to show me how much more fun it is.

what connectors should I use

traxxas, deans, or bullets?

I like deans, but traxxas are just as good. 6mm+ bullets can handle more amps... Depends on what you like. I run deans cause I always have, and changing would be costly and time consuming. Never really had an issue with them.

can it handle that much though?

Deans are a better way to go having tried both bullets and deans, with a potential of connecting bullets with the wrong polarity just not worth it.
