E-Maxx Diffs - 02.01.2006, 11:02 PM

Hello everyone

Do you think that Maximizer aluminum Diff cups with Robinson Racing ring and pinions will hold up to the power of the HV-Maxx.
Thanks

To answer your question yes. I run mine on a 7XL fine.

I ran the hv on the aluminum cups with no problems. I had two hv maxxes on the truck and 24 cells with no problems. 18 cells and a 7xl killed them.

Peace!

the question is.. For how long..

You need to maintain the diffs very good, need to re-shim them every now and then.

If you keep the gears mesh tight, they should be fine.

It's always nice, to have a bit of overkill in strength in the drive-line imo.. (with certain BL, it can be rather hard to create an overkill though)Anyone who is complaining about the power of the hv-max, you should see it on 4S lipo, it is a serious racer on 4S. And to tell you the truth, i do like the mounting of the esc.. The 'drop in' factor is very good on this setup...

i have to agree the fact that it is a direct replacement is nice
i may have to try the lipos but i still think the HV is weak

Yeah, compared to an L or an XL, it is weak for sure..

I am not in the race of getting one, but it is not an awful setup..

The drop in and mounting is nice. The power is better than stock. So all in all it is an upgrade.
