You can take a MMM and encase it in epoxy...

buy a new one.

You could get a nice tupperware and mount one in there. Seal up holes for the wires to exit.

MMM has a coating on the electronics that should keep it "water resistant". Just blow er, spray er with WD40, the blow her again and she should be good.

Yes, but I wouldn't suggest submerging it in water this way...

Or add some corrosion x to the board, pack the case with dielectric grease and say a prayer before you go out.

I was wondering if taking one of those flexible freezable cold wraps and putting it around the motor would do any good? Kinda off topic, but that could be handy for someone doing a shorter run or race. Takes a while for my head to get the wrap warm, not sure on a motor though...

If you can find one, the old Mtroniks truck ESC speed controls were completely waterproof. Not sure how it would run that motor though, but a 7XL smoked mine and they are supposed to be good for an L motor. They were only rated 80A, but with the motor that came with the setup, it was enough to move an emaxx pretty descent.

They are good controllers, just a bit outdated. Only downfall is 5V on the servos instead of the new controllers that are higher. They are also a bit funny and you have to watch out as when you turn them on they look to calibrate the radio every time. I've had a couple of issues not paying attention pressing slightly on the trigger during calibration and then having the vehicle go WOT on me.
I think they pared them up with an 8L motor from the factory. Still cant figure out why a 7XL would smoke it so I would be a bit worried running it on a large motor.

Something to do with the fact a 7xl can pull 100amps easy...

Why are you dead set on a T8 2250 motor?

Those L motors can pull some serious amps when they are not geared properly. I figured an XL would pull the same or better as an L if it was geared for the same mph. I had the 7XL with 20/68 gearing on my emaxx which is what everyone was running the MM with on 4S. So ya the controller is not going to be as beefy as an MM and may not run the bigger motors, but waterproof it is.
