On a more serious note, I went about a little battery desulfation project earlier with good results. Its brought back 3 or 4 of my dead lead-acid batteries already. Similar concept to this hack-a-day article. Its worked so well, I'm suprised I haven't seen similar ones readily available at a home depot or something.
I should get some sort of desulfator for my electric truck conversion batteries... 30 optima yellow tops I have sitting around, waiting to be put into the toyota. I am pretty sure the voltages are around 12.5volts or something
I do have a CTech charger that is meant for yellow tops which I have topped them up twice now, it has a restore function and a desulfator, but if it takes months for it to work, then I don't know. Although I am not even sure if Optima's are prone to sulfating?

It takes mine a few days to bring it back to life, and a few weeks to get it back to 'healthy'. That could mean 3*30=90 weeks!
