what would you do with it? race? bash? i would say an electric would be a better beginner car. easier to learn with and easier to work on, ect. also, if your a beginner i wouldnt choose a jato since i have been told they arent the most durable. a e-maxx would be a good starter for sure.

welcome to the forums by the way!

I would go with an electric car to begin with. You could get a good ready to run RC10T3 for pretty cheap from ebay. But, if you must have a nitro, go with a RC10GT. The Jato is overpriced and all it does is go fast in a straight line and break parts.

i would recommend a mt over stadium truck. revo or jato are good. if you break parts i would worry because integy is starting to make parts for them. also, why dont you like electric?

If you got a friend to help, it will be ok. The 2.5 engineis a great engine to start with, but could be tempremental at times. So long as you got a friend to help till you know what you are doing, you'll be fine

Camel_rc, It isn't just a straight line racer. I have one i run on a track and it is great, but too powerful with the 2.5. I plan to run an OS 12tr for racing, but keep the 2.5 for running on pavement

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

The E-Maxx is a great starting truck imo because it is pretty durable in stock form and there is a lot of hop-ups
what do you have against electric

I'd say an electric 2wd stadium truck is the ideal beginner RC.Failing that a nitro one like the jato or the associated or losi would be good too.electrics require slightly less maintenence since they don't vibrate themselves to bits.MTs are inherintly less durable due to increased inertia and require more maintenance due to being 4wd but are muchos fun.I don't think you'd regret getting the Jato.

No I don't think that I do know what you mean...by the way if you think you'd be bad a$$ by running a nitro at 1:00 a.m. to piss of the neighbors guess what they'll eventually call the police, then who's bad a$$?
Not to sound mean but just by the posts that you've had on here I'm not sure if your ready for nitro. I sell r.c.'s for a living at the LHS and everyone thinks that they want to get into nitro because of how "real" it is but then they just come back crying when it doesn't start and the guys/gals that listened to us and bought electrics are back in upgrading to go faster and having fun!
It's your decision but I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that you'd better get electric first.
