may have a chance to get this motor for a buggy at 2050kv is it worth it i plan on racing the buggy and 4 pole motors just seem to be on top right now

how much more efficent is this than my 7xl which is not cutting it, or do i save my money and get a tekin rx8 combo, at the moment i have a bk9920 running

just trying to avoid trail and error

I had that same motor in one of my 1/8 scale buggies and it is a much better motor than the 7XL (Which I also have and it performed bad compared to the Hacker). I had my buggy geared for over 50mph and it was a blast.

IMO, I'd swap out the 9920 and 7XL for either a Tekin RX8 system or MMM 2650kv combo. The 9920 is way outdated and will only run 2 pole motors and the C50 is quite overpriced compared to the Tekin and Neu motors. Just my $0.02.

I say get the Hacker motor and run it with your 9920. You'll have fun with it, untill you can swing a RX8 or MMM for easier tuning. The Hacker has plenty of power for a buggy. Heck I recently blew a foam tire on my GTP with a C50 Hacker motor.

Agreed. CC/Neu and Medusa's are going for $100 used and are GREAT motors compared to the 7xl.

Given the choice I would get the cc 2200 motor over the hacker for 4s. For 5s the hacker is just about perfect. I run a the same c50 13l in a slayer on 5s geared for upper 40s and it does well. Gets up to about 160, but the quark 125b stays cool so I guess it is not being pulled too hard. On 4s it is a bit of a dog, and gets a bit warmer with the same gearing, and it is not as much fun cause it goes slower...

Yeah the Slayer moves pretty well with the Hacker on 5s.
