WHere to find pinions with long shafts? - 08.06.2009, 12:45 PM

I have this EJato for a while, but never really dug into it. It runs, and works, but the configuration of it needs work (not done by me), and I'm at a point where I can either invest some time in it, or unload it and get it out of my hair.

It runs ok. It's kinda glitchy, and I had my SW replaced by CC... but haven't tried it in this truck yet. The problem with that is, you have to be careful where everything is located in relation to the other components I guess. It was glitchy even with the possibly bad ESC in the rear of the truck too. So, I'm not sure about that yet. But I will say, that with a CC 5700kv and the SW on 2s, this thing FLEW! Nice and smooth.

Anyway, this isn't a big deal... but I'd like to maybe try and get a better mesh. As it stands now, the pinion is BARELY able to attach to the motor. I can't move the motor over, without making up a new mount, that has a curve to it. And there is no way to put spacers btwn the mount and the tranny because there isn't enuff meat on the tranny housing to do so.

So, my question is... WHERE can you buy pinions that have long shafts on them, and is that the best solution?
