RC8te Setup - 08.06.2009, 10:49 PM

So here it is......Iam putting together my 1st 1/8 truggy and here are the specs.....

-Used but in excellent condition R8T with RCM e-conversion
-Tekin RX8 1550 combo
- Hitec 7955TG servo
-Hyperion G3 6s 35c 5500
-Spretrum DX3S radio

what kind of performance can I expect. Iam still waiting on the electronics to arrive. Has anyone used the tekin combo?? Do you guys have any tips on installing everything??

My setup is similar (not same) to your plans. I think you've chosen a good kv for if it works out to fast for a track (lower the voltage one cell). I bash so I only need to be careful in dirt regarding temps but thats cause I use 6s2p a123's (equivallent to 5s lipo) so the batteries are a little heavier than usual but the chassis is great!
Setup is-
rcm chassis
7955tg
neu 1515 1y (2200 kv)
6s2p a123
mmm v3

I also have a medusa 1600 kv which I should use for in dirt (I covered the holes) but am too lazy to change motors.

I also bought 2nd hand so I didn't do the mod but you can trim part of the axle carrier for more steering throw.
